Rượu Mẫu Sơn
Mẫu Sơn wine
A strong, clear spirit distilled by Dao families from grain and cold mountain spring water. Best sipped in small cups beside a fire.
Region 06 · Lạng Sơn Province
The freezing highland outpost.
About the region
The climate anomaly. Home to the towering Mẫu Sơn peak, this area is freezing, perpetually wrapped in dense fog, and famously known to snow in a tropical country. It feels like a high-altitude ghost town, littered with the decaying ruins of French colonial villas. It is harsh, isolated, and deeply rooted in the indigenous Dao culture, producing an incredibly strong, traditional distilled wine born from the freezing mountain water.
